DOUGLAS SAYS:
"I have just started using Forge Ahead in my practice and it is earning its keep everyday. I have had a problem remembering clients and horses names, much less all the info on the horse like hoof angles and lengths, or problems the horse may be having. I would also have problems remembering what horses were due at certain stables. But with Forge Ahead those problems are gone."

Each horse must have a name, but it doesn't have to be unique. You can have 3 horses named "Jack" or simply use "Mare" if you like.
Each horse must also be linked to either an owner or a stable (or both).
Beyond those requirements, everything else is optional. Use the additional fields below if they are valuable to you; or ignore them if they don't help you.
Legend:
A Use drop-down list to easily move to a horse's record. When opened, the list displays each horse, its owner and/or stable.
B Horses are linked to either an owner, a stable, or both. In addition, you can capture their veterinarian and trainer. Select from contacts entered previously, or add new contacts from this screen.
C This button is used to enter or review notes and digital pictures for this horse. Great for tracking ongoing treatment, documenting your recommendations, consultations, etc.
D Detailed information for your shoeing work.
E System automatically updates "Last Visit" field when an invoice that includes this horse is saved. "Weeks Between Visits" is used in combination with "Last Visit" to calculate "Due Date". In addition to being displayed here, these values are used in the "Horses Due Listing", a valuable report designed to help you with scheduling.
F This button creates a detailed report for this horse, including everything on this screen, a 'service history' taken from invoices, and your notes on the horse.
