HoofTrak Add-on Module for Forge Ahead Software
Forge Ahead Software allows you to record a detailed set of hoof specifications (angles, lengths, shoe types, pad types, etc.) for each horse. However, there is only one set of specs for each horse. If you change any of the data, the previous data is replaced by the new data.
While this works fine for many farriers, we realize that some shoers need to track the changes in hoof specs over time . The HoofTrak Add-on Module provides this functionality.
In HoofTrak, each horse can have multiple (no limit) hoof specification sets (angles, lengths, etc.), and each set of specs includes a date. This allows you to build a detailed history of hoof specs over time.
This screen shows 2 sets of hoof specs for a horse named Mo Jo.
When the HoofTrak module is installed, it adds the HoofTrak features into Forge Ahead.
The main Horse form always displays the most recent set of specs for the horse. A HoofTrak button on the Horse form opens the screen displayed above.
Note that in the top portion of the HoofTrak screen, you can lookup a set of specs by date, or add a new set of specs.
The Detailed Horse History report includes all dated hoof spec sets for the selected horse.
HoofTrak also provides an additional formatting option for printed invoices: the option to include recent hoof specs for each horse on the invoice.

Wondering if HoofTrak information will be available in Sidekick on your PDA?
In the HoofTrak form (see above), each set of specs has a checkbox labeled "Add Specs to Horse Note".
When this is checked, a horse note is created containing all the information in that specs set (see screen at right).
By putting this information in a Horse Note, you will have access to it when using Sidekick on your handheld device.
